Neuroscience baby!

How about some violin music to stimulate the brain? In fact, we should never take our brain for granted, which is why I performed this past Saturday at a Neuroscience conference for “Winning the War on Addiction in America”. The conference, that took place at Canoe Studios, located in New York City, was organized by the Path Foundation, a non for profit organization dedicated to brain-based research and the development of practical diagnostic and treatment to improve well-being and increase lifespan. I came to support this important event along with Governor David A. Paterson (right) and Fox News Host, Sean Hannity (left).
The conference focused on the molecular neurobiology of Reward Deficiency Syndrome (RDS) and epigenetic correlates related to addiction and included a panel of speakers from both government institutions such as the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) and health care establishments like Mount Sinai Hospital, and Rockefeller University.
Brain health is just as important as physical health and we can improve our cognition and brain health throughout our lives through exercise to increase neurogenesis in the brain and keep our mental health in shape.
