I had a great time with my Chabad friends in Florida! It took me back to my “roots”:); I performed my original music as well as “niggun”, a Jewish melody composed by Rabbi Schneur Zalman that sounds very soulful on violin Chabad is the world’s best known orthodox Hasidic movements. In Hebrew it means  “Wisdom, Understanding, and Knowledge”, which represent the intellectual essence of the movement. It was founded in 1775 by Rabbi Schneur Zalman of Liadi and in 1951, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson became the seventh Rebbe of Chabad-Lubavitch and transformed Chabad into the largest Jewish movement in the world. Today you can find Chabad institutions in 80 countries all over the world that provide religious, social and humanitarian needs as well as cultural and educational activities. For the past two years I was honored to perform at the “Annual National Chanukah Menorah Lighting”, a special ceremony that takes place on The Ellipse in Washington DC by the White House, organized by my friend, Rabbi Levi Shemtov & the American Friends of Lubavitch (Chabad), and attended by thousands of people.
